Artist: D. Kadah Tanaka | View all images by this person I hope to convey a feeling of calmness, a meditative quality that engages the viewer and asks them to join in contemplation and introspection; to leave the world of the mundane and enter a sacred space and relationship with it.
It is my desire to capture images that are timeless, painterly, and exhibit a richness and depth. I look for landscapes where there is a natural rhythm, a ‘motion’, a playing of colors that entice and beckon me. I am attracted to water elements in the landscape – to record the beauty that is intrinsic, and also the fluidity and life inherent in water.
